Liverpool had a bright start to the game as they created a couple of chances in the first 15 minutes. However, they failed to convert those chances and that gave Leicester more confidence before the end of the first half.
Leicester grew more into the game in the early stages of the second half as they started asking questions from Liverpool defenders.
Ademola Lookman gave Leicester a deserving lead in the 56th minute after finding the back of the net with a sublime left-footed shot.
Liverpool tried to get themselves back into the game but Leicester’s defence was just too difficult to break. Though, Liverpool nearly got a goal back in the 84th minute to earn a point from a game they were tipped as a favourite winner.
Liverpool’s defeat means they are now level on point with Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp’s men sits on second position having clinched 41 points from 19 games this season.
The major problem now is that they are six points behind the current league leaders, Manchester City, who seems unstoppable at the moment.

Liverpool attacker, Mohamed Salah still remains the highest goal-scorer in the division despite his failure to score against Leicester.
Salah has scored 15 goals this season and it doesn’t seem like anyone would catch up with him anytime soon.
