Senegal played well in the opening minutes of the first half as they troubled England with a couple of chances with Jordan Pickford making a crucial save from Dia’s shot.
England eventually scored in the 39th minute as Jordan Henderson comfortably slotted into the net from Jude Bellingham precise pass.
Edouard Mendy was clearly in a favourable to save Henderson’s shot as the ball was within his grasp but the 30 year-old couldn’t stretch his palm to block the shot.
For the second goal he couldn’t really do much about it as Harry Kane perfectly placed the ball past him and into the net.
Fans were upset with Edouard Mendy’s inability to stop the first shot as they believe the Senegalese is way out of form and deserves to be bench.
