Mr Peter Obi and Governor Biodun Oyebanji have been travelling across the country for the past few months, to campaign for their respective parties, and the duo were excited to see each other on Monday.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji was elected as Ekiti State Governor in 2022, and he was among the few governors who did not participate in the 2023 Governorship election in Nigeria.

Despite the fact that Governor Biodun Oyebanji did not contest in 2023 Governorship election, he has been busy campaigning for all the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC), and he was seen in many of their campaign rallies.

Mr Peter Obi has also campaigned for his party candidates in the Governorship election, and he was seen at the international airport in Abuja on Monday after the conclusion of the 2023 general election.

Obi and Oyebanji spoke for some minutes after meeting each other at the international airport, and they decided to take pictures before they left.

Reacting after meeting Labour Party’s presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi at the international airport in Abuja on Monday, Ekiti State Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji posted on his verified Twitter handle that;

“Today at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja , I came across Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Candidate in the just concluded presidential election. It was a brief but warm encounter as we exchanged pleasantries and wished each other well.”
