Arsenal took the lead through England striker Eddie Nketiah with Nicolas Pepe scoring the second goal, Sunderland pulled one back before the break courtesy of Nathan Broadhead. Nketiah completed his hat-trick in the second half before Charlie Patino came on to score on his debut to cap off a wonderful night for the Gunners.
It was a wonderful performance from all Arsenal players, but two players stood out. Eddie Nketiah and Nicolas Pepe had a wonderful game.
Nketiah scored a hattrick and was a threat for the Black Cats defenders all through the game. Pepe also caused a lot of problems from the right wings and also created a lot of goal scoring chances. The Ivorian winger set up the last two goals of the game.
Martin Odegaard also had a good game, but Nketiah and Pepe stood out for me in the game.
