As we prepare for another matchday of this season’s Championship, our experts take a look at the bookmakers’ predictions for the upcoming matches.

Let’s check out three betting tips for Matchday 4 of the EFL Championship.

Back West Brom to beat Cardiff

West Bromwich have found a difficult start to the new season, remaining winless after the first three matchdays.

We expect the Baggies to claim their first victory when they meet Cardiff this weekend.

West Brom have scored in all of their last eight games, showing no signs of slowing down in their front line.

The hosts’ defensive stats are not that impressive. However, Cardiff’s recent attacking displays don’t suggest they can prevent West Brom from outscoring them in the upcoming game.

Goals likely on both sides when Stoke City host Middlesbrough

Stoke City suffered a 3-1 defeat against Huddersfield last week that, once again, exposed their defensive problems.

Next up, they will meet Middlesbrough, who come into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Sheffield United.

Both sides have shown great attacking form in the first three matchdays of the new season. We expect Stoke to push for the home win on Wednesday.

However, Middlesbrough’s goal numbers convince us they will also find enough chances to score in the upcoming game.

Back Blackburn to continue their winning streak against Reading

Blackburn have started the new season with three consecutive victories.

The Rovers delivered an impressive performance to beat West Brom last week, reaching the top of the league table.

They must travel to Reading for their upcoming midweek game on Wednesday.

The hosts will hope to bounce back from their 4-0 defeat against Rotherham last weekend. However, we expect Blackburn to beat their opponents with their superior firepower.
