It is therefore an undesirable condition, no one wants to lose his or her leg for any reason. But few actually know how to follow it up, Diabetes is dangerous but it’s not the end of the world, if you manage yourself properly, there won’t even be need to amputate your leg(s).

1. Eat Healthy; diabetes is not the end of the world as I’ve already stated, all you need to know is that it is a call for one to be careful. First step towards managing diabetes is eating healthy, ensure you consume more of fruits, vegetables, lean meats and also food rich in fiber. While doing this, cut down on carbohydrates but don’t eliminate it totally from your diet because of the energy that comes with it.

2. Avoid Sugar Sweetened Juice and Soft Drinks; this should be a no-no for you. Never take sugar sweetened drinks again once you are discovered to be fully diabetic unless you want to worsen your condition.

Reason being that such drinks pump sugar into one’s blood stream and this sugar/glucose might not be utilized by your body because of the failure of the pancreas to manage sugar. So it’s best to avoid the sugar sweetened drinks.

4. Check Your Blood Sugar Level Regularly; once you start suffering from sugar related problems like Diabetes, the test kit must not be far from you at any point.
