According to reports, the terrorists targeted and torched a truck and a pickup near the Bagdam Bridge on the far North Coast.
Police have been deployed to the scene to assess and establish facts surrounding the circumstances that might have led to the attack.
Following the heavy gunfire exchange, it has so far been confirmed that two people have died. Aftermath of a terrorist attack in the Milhoi area of Lamu County on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Motorists and civilians in the area have been advised to take extra precaution as the suspected terrorists are still on the loose.
A manhunt to track down the suspects has since been launched with law enforcement officers operating on intelligence that the assailants are heavily armed.
