In an interview with TVC, he urged Nigerians not to resort to violence but to accept the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and move on peacefully.

Fayose emphasized that no politician is worth dying for in Nigeria and that politicians often show no genuine sympathy for the loss of lives. He advised Nigerians not to be swayed by politicians who may incite them to engage in violent protests.

He encouraged Nigerians to be wise and not to waste their lives protesting for politicians who would eventually forget them. He reiterated that even those who have done great things for the country are often forgotten, and politicians only show up to their burial to shed crocodile tears before returning to their own lives.
