Nigeria got off to a bad start against Sierra Leone, as John Keister’s side stamped their authority in the early stages & broke the deadlock after a brillant piece of play from Musa Noah Kamara who got past a couple of challenges, before putting in a sublime cross for his fellow Countryman, Jonathan Forsay to head past the helpless, Uzoho.
Sierra Leone had a good chance to double their lead, minutes after they opened scoring, with Mohamed Buya and Forsay combining to force a save off Francis Uzoho in goal.
But Jose Peseiro’s side got back on level terms on the 16th minute, after Everton winger, Alex Iwobi smashed a right-footed effort into the bottom right corner of the post off an assist from Moses Simon to equalise and put smiles on the faces of the Nigerian supporters.
Victor Osimhen made it 2-1 after a cushioned header from Moses Simon into the path of the Napoli striker, who coolly slotted in from close range.
