The Blues’ star has been heavily linked with the move to La Liga giants Barcelona.
Speaking about his future, Alonso has now claimed he wants to return to Spain.
“I have already said that I would like to return to Spain, but in the end it does not depend entirely on me,” he told Onda Cero, via Fabrizio Romano’s official Twitter Account.
“It’s clear that the desire to one day play in Spain is there”.
According to the transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Alonso is still waiting for Barcelona as a priority for transfer.
