Defenders: Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta, Reece James and Marcos Alonso.

Midfielders: Mason Mount, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.

Four of Chelsea most active players last season will be out of contract in 2023. Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Jorginho are the players in question.

However, Jorginho scored the most penalty goals in the 2021/22 premier league season, while both Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are summer transfer targets for Barcelona. Nevertheless, Antonio Rudiger who was one of Chelsea’s best centre-back last season has joined Real Madrid on a permanent deal.

In addition, Mason Mount is the most productive midfielder in Chelsea’s squad last season, while Romelu Lukaku who finished as the team’s top scorer across all competitions, will join Inter Milan on loan next season. However, it is obvious that Lukaku and Rudiger won’t be playing for Chelsea next season and there is a tendency that one or two players from the above team could still leave Chelsea this summer.
