The Blues were the huge favourites to emerge victorious due to their previous home records against Red Bull Salzburg.
The West London based club Chelsea created a whole lot of chances in the opening 45 minutes of the game but they were wasteful in front of goal.
Despite their home draw against RB Salzburg, They still sit 4th position on the UCL standings having played the same number of matches in the competition.
The Blues scored the opening goal in the early stages of the second-half but they were unable to defend tightly as they conceded a goal in the latter stages of the game.
The home to RB Salzburg dropped them down to 4th position on the group standings behind the likes of AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb.
