Chelsea’s lack of attacking threat is a big concern ahead of the new premier league season, as they have only recruited Raheem Sterling in that position for 47.5 million. However, Sterling is more of a creator than a potent goal scorer and there is a need for a lethal goalscorer at Chelsea.
With the exit of Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea would be forced to rely on Timo Werner and maybe Armando Broja as starting strikers. But they are not good enough and would not take Chelsea to the next level that they desire.
Tuchel’s stubbornness has made him adamant in his use of the 3-4-2-1 system which is not favouring his side creatively. A big club like Chelsea should be dominating games with elite formations such as the 4-3-3 or the use of 4-2-3-1 instead of killing the dynamism of the squad by adding a third defender while removing an attacker.
