Due to this, Chelsea football club want to fix their leaky defence and have been linked with a transfer move for highly-rated Real Madrid central defender Rafa Marin this month.
The 20-year-old Spain International, who signed up for Real Madrid youth team after departing Sevilla back in 2016 has been an important member of the Real Madrid academy.
The young centre-back has been quite involved for the Real Madrid youth team so far this 2022/2023 football season, having scored two goals in the 16 appearances he has made.
But then, Rafa Marin has less than six months left on his current contract with Real Madrid and having not signed a new contract, he could be planning a move away from the club.
And according to reports from Daily Mail, Chelsea football club are closely monitoring his contract situation as they aim to lure him away from Real Madrid football club this month.
The reports further claimed that Chelsea are really interested in Rafa Marin and have now turned their attentions towards signing the £10million-rated centre-back to improve their team.
But then, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid will choose to cash in the Rafa Marin this month or risk losing the young defender on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
