Koulibaly has been one of the best central defenders in Europe for almost a decade. This is no surprise that the 31-year-old defender will be a solution to Chelsea’s defense.
The center-back missed our on Napoli’s train k Tuesday this week which was a clear inclination the stars were moving to Stamford Bridge this summer. He has been an integral player in Italy and he will have a huge impact on Chelsea.
The Blues lost two center-backs this summer including German star Antonio Rudiger and Danish defender Andreas Christensen who both joined Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
Koulibaly is the type of defender Chelsea has been looking to sign this summer as he has similar qualities to that of German star Antonio Rudiger. He is expected to become a top player upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge and help Thomas Tuchel continue competing for trophies.
The only center-backs at Chelsea are Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva, and Trevoh Chalobah. However, the two young defenders are not reliable as they are still young and they have a long way to go.
