In the past hours, Todd Boehly travelled to Portugal last week to make plans for his club. During his travel, he met Jorge Mendes, Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent to discuss a possible transfer of the striker. During the meeting, Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Manchester United and the idea of him switching to Chelsea is understood to have been among the issues discussed.
At this points, it is difficult to tell whether Chelsea are going to battle Manchester United in signing the player this summer. It is however understood that Ronaldo does not plan on leaving Manchester United despite the situation he has found himself in with the club.
Ronaldo is disappointed at Manchester United with the club failing to qualify for the Champions League. The transfer situation at the club has also left Cristiano Ronaldo in doubt of his future at the club.
Ronaldo wants the club to be competitive and match their rivals but with how the transfer season is going, it does not look possible. Erik Ten Hag has also made it clear that he plans to use Ronaldo in his team that he believes he has a lot to bring to the team.
