Manchester United and Newcastle United joined the Gunners and City to grab a place in next season’s Champions League, while Liverpool and Brighton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa will play in Europa League and Europa Conference League respectively.
Chelsea football club will be playing in no European competition after a dismissing season. The Blues spent hugely in bringing players to Stamford Bridge as well as laying off two managers in a single season, but yet European competition was unachievable.
However, they are currently set to unveil Mauricio Pochettino as their new coach ahead of next season, but the Argentine international is expected to sing more players despite the squad depth of the club.
Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku will join the team next season after Chelsea signed and kept him in Bundesliga for one season.
Apart from Nkunku, Pochettino is reportedly interested in signing a forward with Victor Osimhen and Eintracht Frankfurt Kolo Muani the favorite to be signed.
Although Romelu Lukaku is expected to return to Chelsea next season, Pochettino will prefer cashing out on him rather than integrating him into the squad.
