Speaking ahead of the match, Mason Mount who has made the 28-man team that has travelled for the match was very confident that the Blues would gain a lot from the friendly.
“It’s a game we’re going to use to gain more physical involvement and improvement but you also want to win and that’s what we want, to get back on that road to winning.
“It’s going to be a brilliant game. You know what the fans are like in Italy, they’re top. It will be good to get a full 90 minutes under the belt so I’m looking forward to it,” he told the media.
Travelling for the match is Armando Broja, Billy Gilmour and Harvey Vale, all of whom did not get a minute of action for the club during the USA tour.
Timo Werner has remained at Cobham with the medical department while Michy Batshuayi and Ross Barkley were not included in the squad.

How Chelsea Could Line Up
This being the last match before the blues travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton in the opening week of the English Premier League, we expect that Thomas Tuchel will name a very strong line up for this one in his tested and trusted 3-4-3 formation.
Goalkeeper: Mendy
Left centre-back: Koulibaly
Central defender: Silva
Right centre-back: Azpilicueta (C)
Right wingback: James
Central midfield: Jorginho
Central midfield: Kovacic
Left wingback: Chillwell
Left wing forward: Sterling
Centre Forward: Havertz
Right wing forward: Mount
For now, this is Chelsea’s best line up and it is very likely this is how the German tactician will set his team up against the very good Italian team.
