The clubs are discussing the futures of at least three players.

One of them is Frenkie de Jong who is almost certain to leave Barcelona. Man United are viewed as the frontrunners to sign him, but Chelsea are apparently interested in hijacking the deal.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are both known to be Barcelona’s targets.

Both defenders have entered the final year of their contracts with the Blues but are reported to be keen on the move. Barcelona will try to convince Chelsea to lower their demands for the two veterans – or maybe even let them go for free.

Another interesting moment is that both of these clubs are pursuing a deal for Leeds attacker Raphinha. Chelsea have agreed the deal with the Yorkshire club, but the player prefers Barcelona who are yet to meet Leeds’ demands.
