Chelsea enters this game at the bottom of the group after a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in their first game. Salzburg drew 1-1 with AC Milan on Match Day 1 and come into this game having beaten Ried 3-0 in their domestic league. Chelsea have had a difficult start to the season and have already appointed a new manager. This will be Potter’s first game in charge, and I don’t expect much to change from what was in place under Thomas Tuchel.

They’ve lost three of their last five games, and despite scoring in six of their seven games, they haven’t kept many clean sheets. They are unbeaten at home this season, but have yet to keep a clean sheet.

Salzburg has scored in each of their last eight games and enters this game unbeaten in that span. In seven of their last eight games, they’ve scored two or more goals.

Chelsea cannot afford to lose any more points here, but they are up against a tough opponent who will also be looking for three points. Salzburg is confident after eight straight wins, but Chelsea has two straight wins at home.

CONCLUSION:

Chelsea will still be without N’Golo Kante for this game; the French midfielder is out with a hamstring injury, and his return date has not been determined. Meanwhile, Noah Okafor, who has scored four goals in the last five games for Salzburg, will be expected to light up this game.

KICKOFF TIME: Chelsea versus Salzburg match will go down tomorrow at 8PM, Nigeria time.
