The Blues have only one game in the league since mid-October and are currently 10 points behind Manchester United who occupies the last champions league qualification spot.
Fans are protesting for Graham Potter to be sacked, but that could be a very hard decision to take considering the weight of the Englishman’s contract.
Potter signed five years when he took over from Tuchel, and sacking him means that the Chelsea owner will have to pay his four years’ wages.
Potter is not ready to leave his Chelsea job either, so he is exploring lots of alternatives to keep the Blues in good shape.
Chelsea is currently preparing to host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and considering Chelsea’s fine record against the Eagles, a win could be on the line.
However, Crystal Palace is also in poor shape and will be keen on bouncing back to regain their form. Chelsea is always the favorite, so Potter is expected to do a few changes from the squad that lost to Fulham.
This time around, Aubameyang could be recalled to the starting lineup after the Gabon international started trending after the Fulham game. Fans thought that Potter should have introduced the former Arsenal man immediately after Felix’s red card.
Possible Lineup.
Kepa, Azpilicueta, Koulibaly, Thiago Silva, Hall, Kovacic, Jorginho, Chukwuemeka, Mount, Aubameyang, Ziyech, and Hall are expected to retain their starting possession after his impressive performances, while Chukwuemeka could be called upon following Zakaria’s injury.
Aubameyang and Ziyech could return to the starting lineup after the fan’s plea, and it’s yet to be seen when Datro Fofana will make his debut.
