Causes of Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are mostly caused by faulty or damaged valves in the vein that makes blood flow in its opposite direction. When these valves are damaged or weak, it may lead to leakage of blood and this leakage accumulates and forms enlarge or swollen veins.

Varicose veins form mostly in the legs and feet because they are far away from the heart which makes it difficult for blood to flow from there to the heart.

Ways By Which Varicose Veins Can Be Managed

The good news is varicose veins can be managed or prevented totally. Some of the ways they can be managed include:

1. Exercise: The positive impact of exercise on our general wellbeing cannot be overemphasized and here is one instance. Exercise can help prevent or manage varicose veins because exercise helps blood to circulate quickly around the body.

2. Controlled weight: If you can manage your weight, you are automatically managing varicose veins, or rather say, you stand a chat if not having one.
