Speaking while he was addressing the people of Borno state, Buhari made two vows that would give Nigerians a joyous mood and confidence ahead of the most anticipated 2023.
Firstly, he vows to descend very hard on the rampaging bandits, this would not be seen as a normal politician unrealistic parade, because the president swears with the ‘Holy Quran’ stressing that his administration is doing everything within its capacity to fortify military potentials by requesting international assistance for the procurement of military hardware and more sophisticated armour tanks.
I know that no administration will flourish amid insecurity and as such I will do everything possible to secure this country for the smooth leadership of my successor in 2023. That’s why I would do anything to uphold the Constitution of our dear country, the president had promised.
Secondly, he said it only remains 17 months for him to end his tenure, this is another hope for the 2023 general election, in most African countries, it is hard for a sitting president to make this vow citing how he will be plotting to replace his image there as a successor, but in his case, he promised transparent, free and fair process that would uphold Nigerian’s true choice of candidate. God bless Nigeria.
