The game ended in 2-1 draw, with Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes scoring an equalizer in the 78th minute that was initially ruled out for offside by the linesman. However, after consulting VAR, referee Stuart Atwell awarded the goal, much to the disappointment of Manchester City.

The goal was scored as a result of a through ball from Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who played the ball to Marcus Rashford, who was in an offside position.
