Both players are still young with long-playing years ahead of them. Erling Haaland is 21 while Darwin Nunez is 22 years and City and Liverpool have technically secured their striking force for five years max depending on their contracts.

The signing of Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland has made Chelsea fans to criticized the board over their inability to sign players. Chelsea fans are demanding the board led by Todd Boehly to sign a prolific striker to challenge Liverpool and Man City in the title race.

However, Chelsea doesn’t need to spend big on a striker as they already have a young and talented striker who could become their Erling Haaland if properly utilized.

Why Armando Broja is Chelsea’s Erling Haaland:

Armando Broja is a young talented striker who I strongly believe will reach the level of Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland if given the opportunity to prove himself in the first team.

Armando Broja, 20 years of age is an Albanian striker who creates goal-scoring chances by simply dribbling at defenders with a quick movement.

He is quick, has Pace, is a good dribbler and has the physicality to succeed in the English Premier League. He has the size to match defenders one-on-one and often he beats his marker 80% of the time.

Among all players in the English top-flight, Broja is in the top 30 percent in progressive carries and progressive carry distance.

He has proven himself at Vitesse and at Southampton where he quickly became the Saint’s first-choice striker.

Unlike Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez, Broja is yet to play in a decent team and with his performance at poor teams like Vitesse and Southampton, he really has a bright future ahead of him.

Can Thomas Tuchel trust Broja and push him to Chelsea’s first team?

After an impressive loan spell at Southampton, Thomas Tuchel has expressed his desire to work with Armando Broja. The German coach revealed that Broja will be part of his Pre-season squad where he critically evaluates the Albanian striker to see if he can be drafted into the senior team.

Armando Broja scored six goals for Southampton in his first-ever season in the Premier League. At Vitesse, he scored 10 goals in 30 appearances and a total of 41 goals in his professional career.

Armando Broja deserves a chance next season:

With Romelu Lukaku’s loan to inter Milan, Chelsea only has Timo Werner as the only recognized striker. Although Timo Werner is not a natural striker having started his career as a winger while Kai Havertz is a playmaker who often plays as a false nine.

This is why Armando Broja should be promoted to the senior team next season. Instead of Chelsea spending heavily in the transfer window, they could settle for Armando Broja as their striker after all he is the same age as the likes of Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland.

The only thing Haaland and Darwin Nunez have over him is experience and exposure.
Conclusion:

Armando Broja is only 20 years of age but has scored 41 career goals which is huge considering other he hasn’t settled down or played for a good team.

In my opinion, Broja is a good player and is slightly on the same level as Nunez and Haaland but Thomas Tuchel must trust him and give him a chance next season.
