The incident occurred when a vehicle, heading towards Ugbowo, experienced brake failure, resulting in the loss of control and a collision with pedestrians. Federal Road Safety Corps Sector Commander, Paul Okpe, confirmed the unfortunate event, citing brake failure as the cause.

Upon reaching the scene, officials found that the injured had already been rushed to the hospital by the Edo State Traffic Management Agency, while the deceased had been taken to the morgue. Although specific details regarding the casualties are yet to be officially confirmed, Okpe acknowledged the loss of lives and injuries sustained in the accident.

Miilitary Apprehends Bandits Commander’s Arms Suppliers in Zamfara Troops, acting on military intelligence, have successfully apprehended three suspected gunrunners in Kaduna, believed to be supplying firearms to the notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji. The military high command, which disclosed this on Thursday, did not reveal the identities of the arrested individuals.

Bello Turji, along with 18 others, was declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters in November 2022, with a N95 million reward placed on their heads. Turji, notorious for his involvement in the deaths of over 200 people, including women and children, had evaded previous attempts to capture him through military air strikes.
