Taking to her Facebook page, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu clarified that the “Wall of Jericho” was not erected for amusement but for public safety, aiming to curb reckless driving and accidents.

In response to the celebratory reactions from Akure residents, she emphasized the serious intent behind these safety measures.

This statement comes after the acting governor of Ondo State, Lucky Ayedatiwa, ordered the removal of some road divider blocks during Christmas celebrations to facilitate easier pedestrian crossing.
