To maintain their world-class status and fulfill their goal of winning the Champions League, they may keep buying more players. In 2018, Barcelona won their last Champions League title thanks to their deadly trio in front, the MSN.
In 2018, Neymar left the club to join Paris Saint Germain, but he so missed his friends that he tried returning to Spain to rejoin Barcelona. Messi also admitted that he missed Neymar and didn’t like it when the club sold such a good player.
The club’s action to let Suarez go to Atlético Madrid in 2020 also hurt Messi, and he spoke about it. Messi spent the 2020/2021 season alone but in 2021, he reunited with Neymar in Paris Saint Germain and played upfront with Mbappé.
Suarez’s contract with Atlético Madrid ends in June, and he will not continue at the club, he is a free agent and Paris Saint Germain could be a destination for the Uruguayan.
There will be space for him to play regularly if Mbappé leaves Paris Saint Germain, and the former Barcelona trio could find themselves playing together once more.
