Ferran Torres after coming on into the game was at the heart of the forward line and as such played his part and also contributed his quota in the comfortable two goals to nil victory that moved them to the top of the table.

The La Rojas as the host of the night opened the scoring sheet with a goal from Carlos Soler to make it one nil which was the only goal that separated the two sides going into the half time break.

The tempo of the game got tensed up in the second half as they both put up some dazzling displays but none was able to found the back of the net, until the 75th when Ferran Torres set up a brilliant assist for Pablo Sarabia who doubled the lead to make it two goals to nil.

After every other attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all proved abortive as it ended two nil at full time.

Ferran Torres with his only assist of the night means no player has directly contributed more goals for the Spanish national team than him since making his debut, and as such be hoping to keep the tempo going for his team in their next game to continue their pursuit in the competition.
