Rio Ferdinand, a former player for Manchester United, thinks Erling Haaland of Manchester City is a contender for the Ballon d’Or this year.
Following his £51.2 million summer transfer from Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has had an outstanding start to life at Man City.
As Manchester City trounced Wolves 3-0 at the Molineux on Saturday, the Norwegian once again found himself on the scoreboard.
Haaland has already scored 11 goals in seven Premier League games and 14 goals in 10 games overall for Pep Guardiola’s team.
His progress is sound. I’m going to say 35 goals. Because he plays for a dominant team, he has the potential to set records, according to Ferdinand, who was reported by The Daily Mail.
