They have competed for sliverwares over the years & also dominated the English top flight for a significant period of time.
The Gunners and the Red Devils have been displaced at the top spot in recent years by Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea.
The situation is quite different this year, with both sides still in the English FA Cup, Europa League, and the race for the league title
It is therefore probable that they will face off against each other in the two cup tournaments as well as in the Premier League title bout.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners currently lead their northern rivals by 9 points, but if they lose this Sunday at the Emirates, the Manchester based outfit will close the the gap & blow the title race open.
Without further ado, we’ll be looking at the two clubs head to head record and who has won the most trophies.
Arsenal v Man United: Head-to-head record
237 times have these two teams met, starting from 1894 when Newton Heath (Man United) and Woolwich Arsenal drew 3-3 at home.
The North Londoners and Red Devils have faced off 61 times since the Premier League’s inception in 1992; they have each participated in every campaign of the top tier.
United has defeated Arsenal 101 times compared to 86 triumphs for the Gunners, giving United a slight edge in the overall record.
In addition, 50 draws have occurred so far.
Recently, Arsenal has had the upper hand against United.
The north Londoners have won four and only lost two of their previous eight encounters, In the Premier League, United hasn’t defeated Arsenal at the Emirates since 2017.

These two are incredibly successful and have together pretty much won everything.
Both have amassed a large trophy collection, which includes several Premier League titles. The Old Trafford based club have taken home an astounding 65 major trophies.
Included in this are 13 Premier League crowns, the most recent of which came in the 2012–2013 season.
With 12 FA Cup Three UCL, and one Europa League.
Arsenal, however, has 46 major trophies to their name.
The North Londoners have won 13 league titles including 3 EPL crowns & 14 FA Cups, the UEFA Champions League is the only trophy missing in the cabinet.
