Mykhaylo Mudryk has again dropped a fresh hint that he could be set for a move to the Premier League. Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in signing the Ukraine star, who himself claims he is currently only playing at 20 per cent of his potential.

Mudryk emerged as a target for English sides in the summer. He has been dubbed the ‘Ukrainian Neymar’ due to his pace and trickery on the ball.

Arsenal wanted to sign a winger late in the summer but were unable to get a deal over the line. They are set to prioritise that position when the January window opens and Mudryk could be a possibility.

Speaking to The Times, Mudryk could not hide the fact he would love to play in the English top flight. He said: “Yes, yes, it is possible. The Premier League is the best league in the world and everyone wants to play in this league.”

Mudryk admits he is not aware of how much he is spoken about in England. He insists he still has plenty of work to do in order to reach his full potential.

He said: “No! I appreciate it, but I must improve a lot of moments because I think I can play better. I’m only at maximum 20 per cent of my potential.”

Mudryk came through the youth ranks at Shakhtar Donetsk and is now set to become a regular following loan spells at Arsenal Kyiv and Desna Chernihiv earlier in his career. He has already scored twice in the Champions League this season against RB Leipzig and Celtic.

It is not the first time Mudryk has spoken of his desire to play in the Premier League. Earlier this month, he said it would be hard to turn down a move to Arsenal if it arose.

He told CBS Sports: “Yes [I do dream of the Premier League]. I think every guy dreams about the Premier League.

“It’s hard to say but Arsenal is a very good team with a very good coach. I like the way they play. Yes [it would be hard to say no] from my side, I can’t say no but the transfer is not only my decision and my word.

“In winter we will see. There was a lot of discussion about the transfer and the collapse (of a deal) and who wants me but it’s normal. Now I’m in Shakhtar and I want to play in this team.”
