1. Use nail polish to secure loose screws
If a screw isn’t holding, apply a tiny coating of transparent nail paint on it. As a result, the nail polish will adhere to the crack and gap, holding the screw firmly in place.
2. Use ice cubes to remove carpet dents
It’s hard to imagine, but ice may be used to remove dents from carpets. Fill the dent with ice cubes and let them melt naturally. The ice cubes eventually melt, allowing the carpet strands to stretch and reclaim their natural structure. Finally, lift the despondent carpet threads using the edge of a spoon.
3. Use cooking spray to fix squeaky doors
Everyone in the family is irritated by an aged door that creaks easily. You may use cooking spray to remedy this problem. Simply spray a bit on the door hinge and the noise will be gone the next time you use it.
4. Use a rubber band to keep a door open.
A rubber band is an effective way to leave a door slightly open. Make a “X” with a rubber band around the doorknob, with the intersection just enough to keep the latch in place. When you arrive home with a bag full of goods, you may simply enter the room with a simple push rather than trying to empty a hand to unlock the door.
