The 52-year-old man of Hutu ethnic of Rwanda is accused of engaging in the murder of several Tutsis in the sunset years of the 20th century.

According to reports, after committing the heinous crime, the man who was a student in Rwanda then travelled to Kenya.

In 2003, the suspect successfully gained US citizenship after lying to the immigration department in Kenya, that he was a refugee.

After gaining access to the US, he went on to settle in the Ohio state where he then began to derail any investigation into his murder scheme.

During his arraignment in court, the prosecution in Boston noted that he participated in the killings in many ways, including by striking victims on the head with a nail-studded club.

According to the prosecution, the suspect could then proceed to hack his victims to death with a machete. The arrest of the murder suspect comes five years after his former classmate was also arrested on accusation of committing immigration fraud by concealing his involvement in the genocide.

In its argument, while appearing before a federal court in Youngstown, the prosecution noted that the suspect and his classmate were active in the political party politics that helped perpetrate the genocide.

The suspect is further accused of identifying Tutsis among patients and staff at a hospital before killing them. Besides committing the murders, the suspect is also accused of encouraging sex-related assaults during the dreaded war in Rwanda.

The suspect had been in hiding for 30 years before he was finally arrested by the US security agencies. Among the charges preferred against him included obstruction of justice, perjury, and falsifying information.
