A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna said that Abdullahi received with deep shock the news of the demise of the elder statesman.

Abdullahi condoled with Governor Abdullahi Sule, citizens, family, and associates of the deceased, praying God to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with paradise.

The Speaker while eulogizing the former minister enjoined all to see his demise as an act of God who gives and takes life at his own time and continues to pray for the repose of his soul.
