Ivory Coast played well against Sierra Leone yesterday but just couldn’t hold on to their lead till the final whistle went off. Franck Kessie missed from the penalty spot in the opening minutes of the first half, it was a golden opportunity for Ivory Coast and the AC Milan midfielder couldn’t convert. Sebastien Haller scored the opening goal for Ivory Coast in the first half with Wilfried Zaha providing an assist for the goal.

Ivory Coast ended the first half in the lead. Down in the second half, Musa Noah Kamara scored the equalizing goal for Sierra Leone with Mohamed Buya Turay providing an assist for the goal.

Ivory Coast got their lead back in the second half after Nicolas Pepe scored a brilliant goal from Ibrahim Sangare’s assist. Minutes before the final whistle went off, Ivory Coast’s goalkeeper made a defensive blunder that costed his team. Sierra Leone capitalized from the defensive blunder after Alhaji Kamara scored and earned a point for Sierra Leone.

Algeria suffered a shocking defeat to Equatorial Guinea yesterday, the defending Champions have gotten just one point from two Africa Cup of Nations games and are at the bottom of the Group E table. After a disappointing first half, both teams kept pushing for the opening goal in the second half of the match and it finally came after Obiang Obono Esteban scored a brilliant goal from Josete Miranda’s assist. This win took Equatorial Guinea to second place in the group E table.

Gambia played a draw with Mali yesterday, after a goalless first half both teams couldn’t create any big chance of scoring. Mali were awarded a penalty in the second half of the match and Ibrahima Kone converted from the penalty spot to give them a narrow lead. Minutes before the match ended, Gambia were awarded a penalty and Musa Barrow converted from the penalty spot to level things up before the match ended.

Tunisia trashed Mauritania 4-0 in yesterday’s match, it’s the biggest win we’ve seen in the ongoing tournament so far. Hamza Mathlouthi scored the opening goal for Tunisia in the opening minutes of the first half. Wahbi Khazri went on to extend their lead to 2-0 with Anis Ben Slimane providing an assist for the goal.

Tunisia were already 2-0 up in the opening minutes of the first half. Down into the second half, Wahbi Khazri scored his second goal in the match from Ghaylen Chaaleli’s assist. Seifeddine Jaziri made it 4-0 for Tunisia after he scored from Wahbi Khazri’s assist.
