Chelsea started the game with much enthusiasm to claim another victory this evening but they failed to score in the first half despite seeing most of the chances. Everton defended very well as they blocked Chelsea’s attacking threats.

Chelsea eventually got the opener in the second half as Felix pounced on an error from EEverton’sddefenceand slotted home. Everton gave an instant response as Abdoulaye Doucoure equalized with a brilliant finish.

Chelsea then won a penalty and Havertz converted to restore the lead for the blues. Ellis Simms equalizer for Everton with a brilliant goal as he dribbled Koulibaly before spotting past Kepa.

It was a great relief for Sean Dyche in the end as they were able to secure the draw while Graham Potter was a bit disappointed with the result.

However, Kai Havertz has been consistent for Chelsea over the last few games which shows that the number nine role can be trusted with the number nine role.

Many Chelsea fans have doubted his quality this season as they feel he cannot lead them to glory days as he did under Tuchel.

But Havertz has shunned those criticisms as he performed brilliantly tonight to hand Chelsea a draw against a very competitive Everton side.
