Final EPL Table After Chelsea’s 2:2 Draw Game As The Blues Miss The Chance To Move To 9th Place

Chelsea were held to a 2:2 draw against Everton at Stamford Bridge today. A late second half strike from Ellis Simms helped the Toffees to salvage a point against the Blues.

The first half ended in a goalless draw. The host dominated possession but the visitors defended well and did not succumb to the Chelsea’s pressure, with Havertz and Felix forcing Jordan Pickford into comfortable saves.

In the second half, Joao Felix broke the deadlock for the home side with a low strike past Jordan Pickford in the 52nd minutes and in the 69th minutes, the Toffees leveled the scores via a corner. Abdoulaye Doucoure headed home from James Tarkowski’s corner to draw his side level

In the 76th minutes, Kai Havertz restored Chelsea’s lead from the spot after Reece James was fouled by Ben Godfrey in the box but a late goal from Simms in the 89th minutes denied the Blues maximum points.
