He made this declaration during a press conference and urged residents to remain hopeful and resolute despite the attacks and intimidation they had been experiencing since the presidential and National Assembly elections.

Rhodes-Vivour praised the party’s supporters, stating that their votes had retired some members of the status quo, despite attempts by powerful individuals to disrupt the electoral process.

He emphasized that their victory was for the people of Lagos and that it had established a foundation upon which they could begin to build a better Lagos.

Furthermore, he addressed the threats made to the livelihoods and businesses of the people and the violence promised by the oppressors.

He encouraged the people of Lagos to remain steadfast, promising to stand with them through it all. He called upon the electorate to draw strength from within and not to succumb to self-doubt or primordial fears.

Rhodes-Vivour assured the people that he was merely a vessel through which they could achieve the collective change they all sought. He urged them to keep the fire burning and never to give up, as when people are determined to bring about change, no force on earth can prevent them from doing so.
