This is a game Xavi Hernandez’s squad need to win by all means. A week later, Barcelona will travel to Allianz Arena to play the most difficult game in their group stage against Bayern Munich.
However, Barcelona will also take trip to San Siro to play against Inter Milan on 4th October, before returning to camp Nou to face Inter Milan and Bayern Munich on 17 and 26th October respectively.
However, there is a possibility that Barcelona could drop points in one of these two home fixtures. Xavi Hernandez will be looking forward to making sure his team qualify for the knockout stage. In the previous competition, they failed to qualify and went on to participate in the UEFA Europa league.
Barcelona will play their last group stage game on ist November against Viktoria Plzen. This is a fixture that could guarantee them a spot in the Knockout stage.
