The recent happening is good news to residents of the northern region, however, those in the southern part of the country would have a lot to worry about, as these bandits might begin to migrate to their region to escape the aerial offensives launched against them.

It should be noted that Kaduna and Niger state, which is a den of bandits, links the north to southern part of the country – If these evil men feel threatened by these airstrikes they can easily move southwards and occupy any of the forests there. Recall that these miscreants have already been setting up camps in the Federal Capital Territory and seem to be gaining grounds there. If they can invade the FCT, it won’t be surprising to hear of their activities down south.

Nevertheless, the military can stop their movement by mounting checkpoints in border communities that links the north with the south. Also, residents of such areas must be vigilante and report any suspicious person to the authorities.
