On December 26, 2017, Harry Kane broke Alan Shearer’s record for most Premier League goals in a calendar year. Spurs were playing Southampton at the time, and Kane scored in the 22nd minute.

It was his 37th Premier League goal, shattering Shearer’s previous record of 36 goals set in 1995 when he was 22 years old. Kane went on to score a hat-trick in that encounter, giving him a total of 39 Premier League goals for the season.

4. England’s joint-top scorer in major tournaments

Another time Harry Kane outperformed Alan Shearer. Kane scored after a penalty save by Danish captain Kasper Schmeichel in the Euro 2020 semi-finals versus Denmark. With that goal, he now has ten goals in big tournaments for England. England went on to win the game 2-1 and advance to the competition’s final. Gary Linker and he co-wrote this song. Linker had 10 goals in 18 games, while Kane had the same number in 16 games.

3. Has scored against all his Premier League opponents

Harry Kane is the only Premier League player to have scored against every opponent he has faced. He is the first striker in history to score against each of the 30 teams he has faced. After scoring against Leeds United in a 3-0 win for Spurs, he attained this feat. Leicester City are his favorite opponents. In 13 league matches versus them, he has 16 goals.

The English striker is still a long way off from equaling Frank Lampard’s record of scoring against all 39 Premier League opponents. Lampard, on the other hand, has failed to score against QPR, Burnley, Watford, Ipswich Town, and Cardiff City.

2. Most goals for England in competitive games

Harry Kane equaled Wayne Rooney’s record for most England goals in competitive football. In England’s 5-0 triumph against Albania in a World Cup qualifying match, he scored a hat-trick. He was only one goal short from tying Wayne Rooney’s record of 37 goals.

After this game, he had scored 39 goals. On November 13, 2021, he accomplished this achievement. Kane scored four goals in England’s following match, a shocking 10-0 victory over San Marino, bringing his total to 43 goals.

1. Tottenham’s all-time Premier League and European top scorer

Harry Kane may not have won any titles during his time with Tottenham, but his track record speaks for itself. He has become a Spurs legend after delivering match-winning efforts on numerous occasions.

He passed Teddy Sheringham as Tottenham’s all-time Premier League top scorer with 99 goals after scoring twice against Everton in 2018. He now has over 171 goals for the North London club.
