Food ingredients are used to produce meals. Unfortunately, some of these ingredients are known to be harmful to one’s health. The simple fact is that some of the foods we eat daily are toxic and can harm our bodies.

Eating toxic food regularly is equivalent to feeding your body poison, which can lead to major health issues and even death.

Here are five toxic foods that we consume daily and are gradually poisoning our bodies.

1. Refined Seed And Vegetable Oils:

Seed oils such as soya bean oil and vegetable oil are popular since they are thought to be healthier. While this is true, it does not change the fact that they must be refined to remove the oil. Cancer-causing properties can be found in seed and vegetable oils.

When these oils are used for deep frying, the cancer-causing aldehydes in them are more strong. If you can’t afford olive or coconut oil, avoid using seed or vegetable oil for deep frying as much as possible.

2. Nutmeg:

Nutmeg is a widely used natural spice that is commonly used in foods such as jollof rice and baking. Nutmeg imparts a distinct flavor to meals and pastries. However, its poison lies beneath its lovely flavor and health benefits.

Nutmeg contains an oil called myristicin, which when consumed in excessive amounts can produce dizziness, disorientation, weariness, and sleepiness at best, and hallucination and seizures at worst.

3. Butter and Margarine:

Butter and margarine are among the most commonly ingested trans fats today. Pumping hydrogen into unsaturated oils solidifies butter and margarine. Cakes and other pastries, the majority of which are produced using margarine, are consumed by a large number of people.

In addition, many people consume their bread with butter. Trans fats, such as butter and margarine, are poisonous because they create inflammation, which can lead to a variety of health problems. They also harm the heart.

4. Star Fruit: This fruit is also known as star apple in Nigeria. According to studies, star fruit contains chemicals that affect the kidneys. Star fruit contains chemicals that can overwhelm the kidney, making it a dangerous fruit for persons who have kidney illness.

People with kidney difficulties’ kidneys don’t work properly, and when they can’t filter out the toxins in star fruit, they can have seizures, confusion, and even death.

5. Added Sugars:

Added sugar contains no nutrients and is only a source of empty calories, so eating too much of it is like ingesting poison. Sugar has a high fructose content, which can lead to health problems such as cancer, fatty liver, diabetes, and obesity.

Sugar also contains elements that are thought to be addictive, which could explain why some individuals can’t live without a soft drink every day. Reduce your intake of junk food and processed drinks by not adding sugar to your tea.
