1. Exposure to the sun

Sunburn causes skin inflammation. It may feel hot to the touch and lead to a burning sensation for some time. It is essential to cool the skin down to ease pain and avoid further damage.

2. Nerve damage

Peripheral neuropathy is the medical term for a kind of nerve damage. It mostly affects the legs and feet but in some cases can affect the arms and hands. High blood sugar is a common cause of nerve damage.

High blood sugar from diabetes causes harm to the nerves and blood vessels feeding the nerves. Over time, this can cause peripheral neuropathy.
