Manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly determined to secure a new left winger, even though he has options like Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford for that position.

One potential candidate to fill the left-wing role is Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich. United has previously expressed interest in the French international, and with Coman’s uncertain future at Bayern, a deal could be explored, although it would come at a high cost due to his impressive form.

Another player that United has been linked with is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has made a name for himself with impressive performances for Napoli in Serie A. With 12 goals and 10 assists in the league this season, the 22-year-old Georgian winger has caught the attention of the Red Devils. However, negotiating a deal with Napoli might prove challenging, as they aim to retain their title-winning squad.

Kaoru Mitoma is another player being considered as an option. The Japanese international had a transformative season after returning from a loan spell at Union Saint-Gilloise, excelling for Brighton in the Premier League with seven goals and five assists.

Although a deal could be complicated due to Brighton’s potential departures, Mitoma’s performances have caught the eye of United.

Lastly, there is the wildcard option of Harvey Barnes. Following Leicester City’s disappointing season and relegation, the English midfielder could be an attractive choice for Ten Hag’s side.

Barnes managed to shine individually, contributing 13 goals and one assist in the Premier League. Given United’s need for squad depth, pursuing Barnes could be a viable option.

As Sancho’s departure seems increasingly likely, Ten Hag and Manchester United will consider these options to bolster their squad ahead of the next season, aiming to close the gap on rivals Manchester City.
