Menstruation, or period, is normal bleeding that comes from a woman’s private part, it occurs as part of a woman’s monthly cycle. Every month, your body prepares for pregnancy. If no pregnancy occurs, the uterus, or womb, sheds its lining. The menstrual blood is partly blood and partly tissue from inside the uterus.
There are lots of controversies as regards irregular or abnormal menstruation many women are experiencing today. In this article, I will be discussing three reasons why you may see your period twice a month. The reasons are as follows.
You have uterine or cervical polyps or fibroids.
Uterine issues like polyps or fibroids—benign lesions or tumors that can grow in the are very common and may be related to hormonal issues. According to Dr. Dweck, “Uterine polyps can cause bleeding in between periods”. When a woman develops this problem her private part will start discharging blood.
You have an infection down there.
The private part is one of the most delicate organs in the body system, however, the female private organ can develop problems if proper care is not taken. Cervical infections are incredibly annoying for several reasons, not least of all that they can cause bleeding outside of your period. Inflammation or infection of the cervix with bacteria.
You have endometriosis
Endometriosis is a condition where some of your uterine linings become trapped outside of your uterus.
