In the early hours of Saturday, Dozens of bandits converged on the residence of the neutralized bandit leaders for his burial where they were hit by multiple missiles fired from fighter jets, eliminating scores. Terrified surviving bandits fled in terror, with some taking cover under trees within the area, but were hit in a follow-up airstrike, resulting in heavy casualties.

Victory indeed belongs to God, whenever God is ready to grant victory to the people, he does that with ease. These two notorious bandits have been on the wanted list of the Nigerian military for years due to their notorious activities of abducting people, killing and robbing Nigerians of their hard earn money, most especially peasant farmers that have been taxed of their farm produce.

These bandits were lords, kings, and authorities of their own. They were ruling as if they are the government in Zamfara and its environment. Their commands were people’s wish because if the people disobey, they will face the most dangerous sanction from the bandits. Now they have been pampered with a new year gift by the military. Kudos to the gallant military that were able to eliminate the evil bandits. This will bring succor to the people of Zamfara State.

At the look of things, 2022 might be the year of crushing all terrorists in Nigeria. The year is just starting, but two bandits leaders have been neutralized, a more serious approach and bombardments of their hideouts will decimate their activities in Nigeria. Although, the government should as well look into the proliferation of arms into Nigeria. How are these terrorists getting the guns and ammunition they are using? Without solving this problem, it will be difficult to end terrorism in Nigeria.
