While Liverpool and Real Madrid prepare for the Champions League final, there are number of players resigned to fate, as they are likely to miss out with injury.

It is the biggest wish for any top player to feature in this tournaments, and without doubts there will be hard work put in place behind the scenes by players and their handlers to try and get them ready for this competition.

Here are the top players, that will likely miss out on the Champions League final.

Gareth Bale: The Wales international had a back injury and he’s facing a race against time to be fit in time for the Champions League final clash against Liverpool.

Isco: the spanish international was diagnosed with Influenza and it’s not likely he will recover in the feature in the Champions League final.

Marcelo: Real Madrid lost Marcelo with a calf problem. Although the Brazilian international is expected to return to action on the 20th of May 2022 but the UCL final will come too soon for him.

Fabinho: Jurgen Klopp is not sure if Fabinho will be able to win the Champions League final fitness battle, as the Brazilian picked up a hamstring injury during the win over Aston Villa.

Furthermore, Mohammed Salah and Virgil van dijk are currently injured but Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that both of them will recover before 28 of May.
