Antonio Rudiger will be joining Real Madrid as a free agent after his contract expires at the end of this season. Rudiger, according to Skysports, is set to sign a four year contract at Santiago Bernabeu.

Chelsea lost the elite defender to Real Madrid following the sanctions imposed to their former owner, Roman Abramovich which barred them from transacting. The transition is however done and Boehly is their new boss and have been allowed to buy and sell players this summer.

In less than a week after being eliminated from the Champions league, Manchester City have gone ahead to sign Erling Haaland from Borrusia Dortmund. According to Skysports,a sum of £51.1m is to be paid to the Germany side and a total of £85.5m on inclusion of other transfer expenses. Haaland will join City immediately after the end of the season as per the rules of the transfer market.

Phillipe Coutinho, on 12th May, completed his permanent move to Aston Villa. The star has been at Villa Park since January on a loan term but has agreed a 4 year contract with the English side. A total of £20m(£17m) is to be paid as confirmed by Villa. The star will play under his former teammate Steven Gerrard who, currently, is the coach at Aston Villa.

Chelsea have been handed a boost in signing Robert Lewandowski after a report released by The Sun and Skysports indicated that the star won’t be extending his contract. Chelsea had tabled £33m for the star in January but Bayern turned them down. They could however sign him as a free agent since his contract expires at the end of this season.

The Blues have had problems with their striking lacking a talented goalscorer for long. Lewandowski has netted 34 league goals this season surpassing City’s major signing Haaland. Their trials with Lukaku failed after the Belgian failed to deliver. Lukaku has fallen under scrutiny severally over his floppy form and Lewandowski could be exactly what they need.

Chelsea are also likely to swap their two players, Alonso and Azpilicueta, for Barcelona’s Sergio Dear and backup goalkeeper, Neto. The latter will be out of contract this summer and is likely not to stay. Alonso on the other hand has been out of form and only gained pitch time due to absence of Ben Chilwell.
