When the person appears healthy and has no warning signs or symptoms of any illness, such deaths are often more shocking.

Unfortunately, such fatalities have grown so regular in Nigeria in recent years that one can hear that a seemingly healthy individual has slumped and that all attempts to revive them have failed.

So, what causes these untimely deaths? Many variables are typically to blame, and in many cases, silent killer diseases that do not show symptoms until late in their progression are involved.

Medical specialists believe that the heart and brain are involved in many occurrences of sudden death.

This article will look at two (2) medical conditions that cause some people to abruptly collapse and get ill, shocking their families and friends.

The following are the two concerns that will be discussed:

1. Sudden cardiac arrest

According to WebMD, The human heart functions as an electrical pump, with the pumping motion aided by an electrical spark generated when muscle cells contract simultaneously to form a pulse, pumping blood through the valves into all of the body’s organs.

This mechanism, on the other hand, can malfunction if the heart’s electrical system is inflamed, failing to create activities that cause the heart to beat.

The heart muscle would be unable to deliver blood to the rest of the body, particularly the brain, resulting in death.

Heart problems such as blood clots, inflammation of the heart muscle, cardiomyopathy, constriction of the aortic valve, and others are common causes of sudden cardiac arrest.

According to medicalnewstoday, Diet plays an important role in the majority of cases of sudden cardiac arrest, and it’s a good idea to limit your intake of specific foods that can harm your heart.

2. Stroke

Another cause of sudden death in humans is stroke. It happens when the blood supply to the brain is cut off, resulting in the death of brain cells.

Brain cell loss is highly harmful and can result in abrupt death if the area of the brain afflicted controls the body’s autonomic life support systems, such as breathing and heartbeat.

The affected individual may be in a coma in the most severe types of stroke, indicating that the stroke is severe enough that the person may not survive.

High blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity are all known factors of stroke. Diet plays an important role in stroke attacks, and it’s a good idea to limit your intake of specific foods that may cause a stroke.

Salty foods, foods high in saturated fats, foods high in trans fats, high-cholesterol foods, alcohol, and so on are examples of such foods.
